Clubs/Activities
Howe Sound Secondary has a wide selection of clubs for students to participate in. Please check the daily announcements for the most up-to-date club information.
CURRENT CLUBS
INTERACT CLUB: This club’s purpose is to make a difference in our community and the world. The club meets at lunch on Mondays in room B209.
NEWSPAPER CLUB: This group is responsible for producing articles every Tuesday and Thursday for “Howe Is Sounds” an online newspaper for students by students. Come join the group on Mondays at lunch in room B203. Articles can be viewed here.
DIVERSITY CLUB: The Diversity Club is inclusive of all students, including LGBTQ2, and meets to discuss any and all topics important to emotional and physical well-being. Join the group on Tuesdays at lunch in B209.
STUDENT COUNCIL: Our Student Council club is open to new members and meets every Tuesday at lunch in room B110.
STREET DANCE CLUB: Street Dance is open to all levels and all staff and students. We will have a quick warm-up, learn some social dances/grooves, and a short choreography. Everyone is welcome. Meet in the Green Room on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 pm.
RACIAL JUSTICE CLUB: The Racial Justice Club meets on Wednesdays at lunch in room B209.
FARM CLUB: Our HSS Farm club meets every Wednesday at lunch at the farm site.
TUTORING CLUB: Need help with schoolwork? Our Tutoring Club runs on Wednesday in room B204.
DIGITAL ARTS CLUB: Our Digital Arts club meets every Thursday at lunch in the art room.
BOOK CLUB: Come enjoy a great book and a great discussion. The HSS Book Club hasn’t started yet, but stay tuned to the announcements.
