Theatre and Musical Theatre

Our theatre production class will begin on Monday, September 11, and we couldn’t be more excited to get rolling on this year's production. It is exciting to think that such a large group of students will be performing and working together to create a successful show. Theatre runs after school on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 - 5:30 pm.

Music

Our jazz ensemble has begun rehearsing on Tuesdays at 7:30 am and Thursdays at 3:30 pm once again and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be back rehearsing. Students are having a great time working on new tunes and meeting all the new members. The two sections of concert band have been busy refreshing their musical skills in class. Stay tuned for news regarding our first concert and our annual holiday plant fundraiser. Details will be sent out by email to families soon.

Drama

Drama and Directing and Scriptwriting courses run in semester one and semester two. Students explore theatre history, acting techniques, and explore technical areas of performance production. Classes have the opportunity to see performances. Performances put on by the Drama classes in the January and June showcases are not to be missed!

Dance

Dance during the school day happens in the second semester this year. The class is full with twenty-eight students. Dancers explore multiple styles, work on dance conditioning, and choreograph their own dances in small groups. Dancers have the opportunity to participate in field trips which give them the opportunity to explore new dance styles and watch performances. Dance students will be participating in the June Showcase.

January Showcase: Thursday, January 18, 7pm
