May 2026 is Child Care Month in B.C., with Child Care Provider Appreciation Day on Friday, May 8. This month recognizes the essential role child care professionals play in supporting children, families, and communities. On April 22nd, we celebrate Earth Day, a time to reflect on our shared responsibility to care for the land and environment around us. In the Sea to Sky School District, we encourage all students, staff, and families to be mindful stewards of our surroundings. Whether through small daily actions or community initiatives, each of us can make a positive impact. Together, let’s continue to learn from and care for the beautiful place we call home.

On April 15, we celebrate School Bus Driver Appreciation Day across the Sea to Sky School District! We are grateful for our dedicated bus drivers who go above and beyond to ensure students travel to and from school safely each day. Rain or shine, your commitment, care, and professionalism make a difference in the lives of our students and families. Thank you for being such an important part of our school community!

The Sea to Sky School District is inviting public feedback on DRAFT Policy 808: Naming of School and District Facilities, which was approved in principle by the Board of Education on March 11, 2026. As part of the district’s policy development process, this draft is now open for a 60-day public review period. Community members are encouraged to share their input, which will be compiled and presented to the Board following the consultation period, closing June 1, 2026. At the March 30th Board of Education meeting, the school calendars for the next three school years (2026–2029) were officially approved.
